Ruins

“El tiempo pasa, nos vamos poniendo viejos y el amor no lo reflejo como ayer…”(Pablo Milanés)

Markets of Tegucigalpa, 1988 – 1990

Now that the markets Tegucigalpa burned down, I take the opportunity to dust off some negatives, these photos were taken in the late 80s, after returning to Honduras from my exchange year in Austria.

Those times were perhaps a little more innocent, or maybe the  innocent was I.

Copán Ruinas, 1889-2010

Copan Ruinas

I’m digging through my drawers, now it’s the turn of Copán, from where I and my family originate , some of these photos were taken by my mother or other relatives, the picture of my great-grandfather was taken  when they began to explore the ruins ( Fragile Memories: Images of Archaeology and Community at Copan, 1891–1900. Peabody Museum, Harvard ).
