A video of me working with one of the pieces for Rinkeby Terrassen, posted to Facebook by Håkan Karlsson in the background is my sculpture workshop in Strömsbergs Bruk
All’s well that ends well, after many rounds and discussions could the sculpture be completed and delivered The whole process is here
Just a small update from my new workspace in Stömsberg:
I’ve begun with the last four sculptures for the Rinkeby Terrace, the materials come from different parts of the world, one i got from from the woods behind my country house, another comes from Zimbabwe via Maputo and yet another one i got in Tuscany, where i had the opportunity to visit some old friends.
Whenever i get some spare moments At least once every year i update my plywwood urns
I thought i was done with my work for the City of Karlstad, but I needed to return to Odrinhas, a little town north of Sintra, to make one more marble cloud in order to reinforce the stability of the sculpture group “Detrás de los Cerros”
Not everything was work…
The final stage of the first phase of the long process of the artistic decoration of the Terrace of Rinkeby, my work in India is done.
I made this sculpture back in 2001; having spent the last 15 years largely unnoticed and since I had some free time I decided to remake it. The first version is based on a statue that appeared in “Tintin in the Congo”
Winter chore, work in progress; I’m trying to finish a sculpture that’s been lying around in my studio during the last two years
